What It Does
Protection That Makes Ongoing Care Easier
A ceramic coating bonds to properly prepared paintwork and creates a durable protective surface. It can improve gloss, encourage water to bead and run off more easily, and make routine washing and maintenance easier.
Gloss & Finish
On well-prepared paintwork, a ceramic coating can enhance depth, gloss and overall appearance.
Water & Dirt Behaviour
The coated surface becomes more water-repellent, which can help reduce how readily normal road grime and contamination cling to the paint.
It Is Not Damage-Proof
A ceramic coating does not make paint scratch-proof, stone-chip-proof or maintenance-free. The vehicle still needs sensible washing and ongoing care.
Preparation Matters
The Coating Is Only as Good as the Surface Beneath It
Before a ceramic coating is applied, the paintwork needs to be properly cleaned, with paint decontamination carried out where required before polishing and coating preparation. This is why preparation makes up a large part of the service.
Safe Wash & Decontamination
The vehicle is thoroughly washed, with iron and tar contamination removed where required before any polishing or coating work begins.
Clay Where Required
Remaining bonded contamination is removed from suitable surfaces where necessary to leave the paint smooth and ready for further preparation.
Machine Enhancement
A single-stage machine polish is used to improve gloss and clarity and reduce suitable light swirl marks or wash marring before the coating is applied.
Panel Preparation
Polishing residues and oils are removed with a suitable panel preparation product so the coating can bond correctly to the paint.
Ceramic Coating Application
The coating is applied carefully across the prepared paintwork and checked as it cures to achieve an even finish.

Paint Condition Comes First
If the paint has visible swirl marks, oxidation or other suitable defects, machine polishing is carried out before coating so the finish beneath the protection is improved first.
Ongoing Maintenance Still Matters
A ceramic coating can make routine washing easier, but it still needs sensible maintenance. Poor washing methods, harsh chemicals and neglect can reduce its performance over time.
Not Scratch-Proof or Permanent
The coating provides surface protection, but it does not prevent stone chips, deep scratches, dents or other physical damage. It is also not a permanent substitute for normal vehicle care.
